What you should do when you see animal cruelty on social media


Almost anywhere you look these days; you'll find someone treating poor innocent animals cruelly. In fact, it is safe to say that right now as you’re reading the contents of this page, another blameless animal is being treated cruelly. 


Even worse is the fact that some individuals now bring this unkind act to social media and parade the unkind treatment of animals that can’t speak up for themselves for their aficionados to "like." While some people hit the like button to promote this unkind act, the rest us that detest this kind of injustice simply shake our heads in disgust and scroll to the next feed.  But that shouldn't be the case. We can do better for these poor animals that are either neglected, abused or forced to combat each other. 


Forms of animal cruelty 


Cruelty against animals can take a wide range of forms. It often includes deliberate and unmistakable demonstrations of savagery towards animals, intentional disregard for the wellbeing of animals and inability to cater for the welfare needs of the animal in one’s care. Also, it is vital to keep in mind that cruelty against animals is not limited to physical ill-treatment alone. The tentacles of this savagery against animal stretch across Psychological ill-treatment of any kind. Torment, anguish, or fright may likewise establish animal cruelty. 

In light of the fact that there is such a large number of conceivable types of animal cruelty, state welfare enactment does not endeavor to characterize it in a selective manner; instead, animal cruelty is defined by and large as any demonstration or omission that brings about superfluous or irrational ill-treatment of animals. •    Neglecting to give apt treatment to ailment or wounds; as well as

•    Ignoring to arrange for apt accommodation for the animals. 


All of these ill-treatments of animals is punishable by law, and you shouldn't ignore such demonstrations of savagery against poor innocent animals. Even if it is on Social media.

It seems like these days more, and more people are now using social media platforms especially Facebook to show off animal abuse. This is probably because a lot of us are not aware of what we can do to turn this situation around for the better. In spite of the fact that it’s difficult to tie the perpetrators of this unsolicited acts of savagery towards animals to their true identity. Furthermore, it is not so easy to pinpoint the location (jurisdiction) in which these nerve-wrenching acts are being perpetrated. Be that as it may, it is almost as clear as crystal that this cruel treatment of defenseless animals goes against what Facebook stands for and infringes the terms and services of both Internet Service Provider (IPS) and Facebook. 

In the event that you see any animal being abused on social media, you can report to the social media company or IPS, as it is a clear violation of their terms and services. Also, you can request that the FBI, as well as the Department of Justice, investigate the cruel act. These governmental entities have jurisdiction crosswise over every state lines and will take quick and decisive actions towards bringing the perpetrators of this crime to justice. 

Keep in mind that these defenseless animals cannot speak for themselves about this ill-treatment.
